Amazing place to go for a snow hike. One of my favourite mountains. This place is heaven. Where would you rather be? Come here, you won't regret it.

Park at the mount Erica car park... Pack your gear for the day and set of for an adventure. You'll start walking up the hill past a small stream, lots of ferns, some mountain pepper bushes (bush Tucker) and after just sort of an hour you'll get to mushroom rocks, a maze of huge granite boulders. You'll feel small, there is a sense of wonder as you look up at the huge boulders and you may even feel like you've gone back to prehistoric times. From there, you keep going up the alpine walking track, after about an hour up the hill which is reasonably steep for most part part of the walk you'll hit the summit of mount Erica. There isn't much to see here at the sign post, but if you continue to walk another km or two part to see some amazing scenery with the windswept snow gums with their winter coats, a kaleidoscope of colours you'll be thanking yourself you come up. Follow Australian hiking and outdoors on facey and insta for more photos! Thank friends of Baw Baw, a VOLUNTEER organisation for their amazing efforts on keeping the area clean, maintained and a pleasure to walk through... Please give them a shout out on Facebook. Take nothing but photos, leave nothing but footprints. Respect the land, please don't litter. Josh
