Such a fast and simple process in store and online! paid online in advance which was an even better rate and was such a quick process to pick up in store, Carol is such a lovely person and very accommodating for our trip! will definitely go here again and will recommend here to everyone travelling! Unfortunately I didn't have the most positive experience at Travelex. I went there to ask for the exchange rate and asked if they had foreign cash. The lady serving me explained that they didn't have foreign cash on site at the moment and I said that was fine. They did suggest that ordering online had a better rate so I asked for quotes on the online rate and the cash rate. Maybe I asked them too quickly but it felt like I was inconveniencing them with questions when they muttered "stop I can't do that". I was a bit confused and taken aback. She then proceded to write down the quotes for both cash and online rates. She asked if I had a mastercard and I said yes so she gave me a quote for the extra fee for credit cards. I was confused and explained that I do have a mastercard but not a credit card. She got annoyed with me when she thought I said credit card but I didn't say that.. She just assumed I did.. After I left I looked at the quotes she had written and noticed that the rate quoted for GBP was higher than the actual exchange rate so there was a mistake on the quote. Overall it seemed like it wasn't a pleasant experience for either of us. I felt no friendliness whatsoever. The way she spoke to me made me feel like an inconvenience to her. I ended up going to Flight Centre which had friendlier costumer service, correct exchange rate quotes and they had foreign cash on them to exchange on that day. Even if Travelex had a better rate online, I felt that the costumer service I recieved made me turn to other services instead. It doesn't hurt to be kind to others. Sadly this experience has made me unlikely to come back to Travelex. Hopefully next time the costumer service is more friendlier.

Carol was so very helpful in organising my travelex card and cash for my overseas holiday. She explained everything to me and answered my questions. An absolute gem!

Outstanding customer service by Carol. Friendly, emphathetic, efficient and caring. Excellent personality and skills for customer service . Complete opposite to Lindy at Geelong who was rude and hostile last year and should never be in any customer service job.
