Ive been seeing Eva for over 3 Years now and have found her very helpful with my speech. She goes over and above - even in her spare time. I would highly recommend Eva and her team as they are the best therapists I have had in my journey

We couldn't believe our luck when we found a speech pathologist without a waiting list! ...but then it didn't take long to understand why. We took our son with ASD for an assessment with a lovely therapist at one of the clinics, only to be contacted by the Manager (Eva I think) and be told that our kid was too much of a hard case. We would have to bring him to Healsville. We thought, ok, that's much more of a hike (1.5 hours) but we'll do it for our son. We were told to come with both parents, no siblings at 2pm. We made arrangements for our daughter, planned ahead, made the long journey and arrived on time. 2pm, no Eva.... 2.10pm, no Eva... 2.20pm, no Eva... We called the reception, wondered around looking for people, called again. Nothing. Just as we were about to leave, in strolls Eva with a self-important look telling us 'everything I did was deliberate!'. She apparently thought it would be important to 'let us adapt to the space without the therapist there'! But for some reason it was also important to leave the parents in the dark? The whole thing left us feeling like she was secretly watching us or something. Trust was immediately broken. She went on to make bold claims about our son (like concluding he had fluctuating conductive deafness), which it later turned out was simply not true. We had to leave without finishing the assessment because so much time had been wasted, though we still got billed the whole amount. We decided to turn down the offer of weekly sessions with Eva, and wait to get through the waiting list elsewhere. I am so glad we did. We now go to Ready Set Grow Speech Pathology and love it. Our son is not 'too hard' for a regular therapist. He is doing brilliantly there. I would avoid Eva.

When we first came to Eva, we had a 3&1/2 year old Autistic son that couldn't talk, not a single word. He has now just turned 6, and is the strongest reader in his class, and is speaking beautifully albeit still a little delayed. We have been seeing Eva every week for over 3 years now and she has become like family. Seeing his improvement in communication throughout the years has been incredible, and most importantly, my son loves working with her and responds amazingly to the way she teaches and her therapies.

Eva Harrold and her staff at YRSP have made such improvement in my son's speech who has down syndrome and who has had limited verbal ability. With exceptional knowledge and experience they are totally dedicated to best outcomes for each client. Eva's recommendations to vital complimentary therapies always come with knowledge of specialist expertise. Eva Harrold is one of a kind who goes above and beyond. Like many others I can't recommend her highly enough. From Julie Calvert [grateful parent of son with down syndrome] who sees continual improvements.
