It was a rainy day in Tasmania (as it often is) and I was heading down to Moonah to look a tool store. Because it was rainy, the car windows were fogged up, the road was busy, and I was struggling to see the building numbers to find where I was supposed to be. I saw a big sign that said "Tool Market" so I pulled into the parking lot. I got out of the car into the pouring rain, and realised that it wasn't the shop I wanted to be at. However, I am a massive tool buff, and love all things tools. Metal working, woodworking, handtools, it doesn't matter. I went inside because I was interested to see what they had. I was greeted by a sad old warehouse with faded, cheap tools and hardware. Still though, as before mentioned, I love tools, so I had a wonderful time looking around. My wallet was in my back pocket, and I was ready to pull it out if something took my fancy. Nothing did, so I went back out to my car and said to the other person in the car that there was nothing that I wanted, so we should try to find the other tool place I had intended to visit. Now I was getting into the car when the lady from the shop came out and started abusing me. She said that people came in all the time, parked their car and then just PRETENDED to shop so they could just park their car. I was gobsmacked. I was so shocked. I started trying to explain that I hadn't meant to come to her shop but I saw the sign, and loving tools, I wanted to have a look. She was having none of it. I don't know if it was my age (I am only 18) or what, but she was incredibly rude. I kept trying to explain, but she kept yelling at me never to do it again. Never to come back to here shop. I was absolutely disgusted. I was appalled. There is absolutely no reason to ever talk to a customer in that way. I have never experienced someone who was so rude. I got in the car, almost in tears, and drove off to find the other tool shop. The lady completely ruined my day, it was absolutely disgusting. I would not recommend this shop to anyone ever. Small businesses complain that stores like Bunnings are stealing their customers. That is not the case. It is the rude disgusting people in charge of these stores that are driving customers away. I have never experienced feeling so degraded in my life.

The little witch running this store is very temperamental, and has an issue with the few customers they receive using their parking lot. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED. They also refuse refunds. (I should have exerted my consumer rights, however dealing with the extremely rude staff was not worth my time, effort or money). It would seem they cannot afford to light the store adequately, and it smells awful. Rudest staff I have come across in Tasmania. 0/10, would not shop.

Only giving 1 star because I can't give no stars. I parked here as I had business next door which I wanted to attend to first, before I looked in for some mosaicing tools I needed. When I came back out and towards my car, a man (presumably the owner?) of the store came roaring out and abused me for parking there. I asked him how he knew I was not going to shop in his store, and he told me he knew I wouldn't come in BECAUSE I WAS A GIRL. Boy oh boy, that is the wrong thing to say to me! In actuality I am very handy and do most of the maintenance around our house. There was no way I am ever ever going to set foot in that store now and I have advised all my friends and family of the same (all are vetoing it too). The icing on the cake was when he threatened to call the police if I did not move my car immediately. It's a big 'NO' to this business from me.
