Well.... What can I say?? I've used these guys for major projects every 2nd year or so since their shop first opened some 20odd+ years ago, never to be using them again. I took my old holden six engine to them mid/late january to have the block and head machined. was given a timeframe by Toby that it'd be 7 weeks, 8 weeks max! well, I called up 8 weeks in to find they hadn't started. told to call a month later only to find nothing else had been done. I was told implicitly by Toby not to call them up in regards to the engine work progress and they will call me once done. Yesterday 28/6/2021 I had called them up "this is 2 months later since last point of contact", only to be told nothing's been done and I can expect to wait another 6 months or more if I want this job done. I told them I'll come in and grab the engine back and send it elsewhere. When I picked the engine, Toby refused to talk to me and had Andrew deal with it. He was making up plenty excuses about the job not being done, one of them being that they hadn't heard from me in awhile "regardless of being told rather bluntly not to call them by another co-worker/Toby, previously", not to mention they've told me they had other jobs that took priority, and mine wasn't as important. Even though these blokes knew this was my daily driver/work vehicle. And because of excessive delays on their end I had to purchase a new vehicle, as juggling around using my wife's vehicle became far far too difficult! When I picked up the motor yesterday the original conrods and pistons went missing and I was told they were probably thrown out. No attempt to replace them for me either! As I was leaving there was a customer that Andrew said to me "think your self lucky you didn't have to wait a year for your motor, like this gentleman has "as he was saying this to me infront of another customer"". I said "if he had to wait a year for his motor, then he's a bigger fool than I am, but atleast he FINALLY got his motor! Over-all their customer service skills are incredibly poor! they are dishonest about their work and timeframes and their business has gone to complete s**t! I WILL NEVER EVER USE THESE GUYS AGAIN! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! And BTW, I wasn't just some customer getting the most basic of work done for pennies! The quote for the machine work for the Holden 202 block and head had totalled just short of $3K.
