Michael Fogarty Building Design

I can't recommend Michael Fogarty Building Design highly enough. I went with a different designer to begin with (prior to knowing or reading about MF Building Design) and outlaid for an initial design but wasn't happy for a range of reasons. I forfeited the money and design and then spent considerable time searching and speaking to a range of designers and architects to make sure we would make the right choice to ensure we ended up with the best overall finish. Right from the first interaction with Michael when he invited us to his studio to show us how he works through the process with clients I knew we had found the right person/ company. He sketched a series of floorplan designs, worked back and forth with us to modify and then with one of his designers who was just as amazing (Brad) and moved into 3D elevations where again we worked through a range of options. His team guide you through and make working with council and other certification processes easy and straightforward. They have also made it incredibly easy to link in with others who are also supporting us with our project (interior designer/ landscape designer) who have also commented on the quality of MF Building Designs work. His honesty, responsiveness and genuine desire to make sure you end up with the design you are looking for is second to none. I have so far recommended two people who have both also gone with MF Building Design and are just as happy. Thank you MF Building Design!!!!

Michael and Brad understood our dream and promptly were able to provide a number of sketches, which were all great. His recommendations along the way were thoughtful to the design and his knowledge of the building process was clear in every meeting. The final product was beyond our expectations and we would highly recommend MF Buuilding Design.

Michael was recommended to me for his quality work, great communication and dedication to his projects. Approval has been granted for my extension and renovation and I can say that the above is true. The team had quite a challenge with my project, extending (upwards and outwards) and renovating a 140 year old single fronted cottage, whilst working with strict building codes. Michael is incredibly knowledgeable and professional. He clearly outlined the process, listened carefully to my needs and delivered concepts aligned with my briefs. Michael provided appropriate recommendations where required, but equally understood my "non-negotiables" when it came to design. A perfect balance! The quality of the MFBD team's documentation throughout the process is above standard and I think the pricing is set appropriately for the service that is provided. I look forward to continuing to work with Michael and his team as the building works are carried out. I would recommend MFBD to those looking to partner with a professional who will deliver a high quality design service.

We engaged the services of Michael in mid 2016 on the advice of Bellevue Concepts. Our plan has been to extend and improve dining, kitchen, bathroom and laundry areas in our 90 old home in Brighton. Our idea was to keep the character of the main house and bring more light and facilities into the rear living room and kitchen, plus a new bathroom and laundry. Michael has been a pleasure to work with. He readily understood our proposal and gave us his ideas as to how it would work best. He was patient explaining the process, prompt at replying to our many questions and highly efficient in producing detailed designs and overseeing the process of council approval. The final drawings show a design with which we are very happy. We would have no hesitation in recommending Michael for his expertise, professionalism and patience! Alan Atkinson and Margie Pitcher.
