Flooring awesome, no complaints. Recommend 100% Plantation shutters a definite no. Waited the agreed 3 months period for arrival and installation. Massive stuff up with measurements. My lounge room shutter had to be re-orded. Was told 10 weeks as a priority order. 6 1/2 months later........... Only offered $100 discount for my troubles.. they are of good quality but customer satisfaction is getting lower day by day.

We first started looking at flooring for our rental property in October 2022 (whole house except for the wet areas). The salesperson, Joel, was great to deal with - helpful, answered questions about different products and colour options and was easy to get a hold of. About a week after our initial contact with Joel, we contacted the store to arrange a measure and quote, but was advised Joel was off sick and Luke would take care of it for us. Being a rental, we provided our property agent's details for them to arrange a suitable time for the inspection with the tenants. 2 weeks later (mid-Nov) we hadn't received a quote. I tried to contact the office, and left messages, however, didn't receive a call back. I spoke with our agent, and she also tried to contact Luke, and eventually got through, only to be advised that he hadn't been able to get in contact with the tenants. We spoke to the tenant and they told us they had never received a call. By that time, Joel was back at work, and we asked him to arrange the measure and quote, which was done within 24 hours, received a quote within 48 hours and accepted straight away (by this stage it was the beginning of December). A week later, after accepting and paying for the work to be done, we had not received confirmation of payment, nor confirmation of when the install would occur. Again, I tried contacting the office, left messages, sent emails and didn't receive a response. Upon going into the store to try and speak with them in person, to our horror, there was a sign on the door to say they were moving (no new address provided) and to call Luke on his mobile. I tried to call his mobile and didn't get through, so left multiple messages and still didn't receive a reply. Only upon sending a text message marked URGENT, did I finally hear from Luke. Without offering an apology, I was told Joel was no longer employed and our install would be 5th January. However, 2 days before Christmas, Luke called me to say the stock that had been delivered, but it was the wrong stock and he would not be able to correct the error with the supplier until they reopened after the Christmas break on 9th January, and would need to push our install out to 19th January. I pressed why a correction would take that long and was just given some vague excuse that he might be able to bring it forward and would let me know. I was starting to get worried as our rental was now vacant and we needed to have the floors completed before the new tenants moved in. I tried calling Luke on 9th January to ensure the issue had been resolved with the supplier, only to be told (via text) he was away and wouldn't be able to do anything until his return. Later that week, Luke told me (via text) he wasn't able to bring the install forward and was still booked in for 19th January at 9am. I attended the property to give access to the installers, however after 20 minutes I called Luke to find out where the installers were as they hadn't arrived yet. Still no answer after 5 phone calls. Thankfully, I had the installers number and called him, only to be told they weren't going to be getting to our property until the afternoon. He told me he had tried to call Luke to advise him, but couldn't get hold of him. When they finally came to install the flooring they did a great job. The whole process was unnecessarily drawn out, riddled with non-existent communication, a high probability of deceit and continued suspicion that the business was in the process of closing down and we would lose our money. If I had the chance to go back and do it again, I would've gone elsewhere the moment it took them so long to provide the quote. I would not recommend Selective Flooring to anyone - even someone I didn't like.
