I recently spent 6 days in the Banksia Ward. I overall admittance was great RFDS were wonderful as well as the doctors and staff on the PTA Emergency room. Be honest out of the three shifts of rotating staff I only had a problem with a couple of nurses that treated me like I was worthless and I was already a emotional and not in a good headspace there no I was a discharged out of nowhere I had not seen a social worker mental health worker or an Aboriginal liaison officer in the 5 days off the five nights that I was there and I was told us fine and ready to go home. This was at 4pm and I live 300kms away. I tried speaking to the nurses the senior nurse and then the doctor and they all said the same thing but it was just the way that they did it was very thoughtless unhelpful and yeah I was in a pretty bad position after being discharged. It's being reported but there are other issues with negligence or possibly a case of a bad attitude. i appreciate the help when arrives and some of the nurses where's so amazing.
