I required a qoute on my hail damaged pergola with a gable. First attendance was punctual. Prompt with qoute which I sent to Insurance. Before Insurance approval I noticed several errors. Incorrect number of polyps and timber for gable reinforcement not on qoute etc I cancelled the qoute due to under qoute if price and lack of material. . I spoke with Fielders where my material was coming from for verification. Requested he came back for a further discussion and requote. He resisted at first. But I convinced him to come. He did not remeasure and said he would just give me another invoice for Insurance at completion of job. Obviously not satisfactory. I GAVE HIM OPPORTUNITY TO DECLINE JOB or submit new qoute BY END OF WEEK WHICH WAS 3 WEEKS AGO I HAD NO RESPONSE. IF HE HAD RESPONDED I WOULD HAVE GIVEN HIM 3 STARS. I HAD TOLD HIM THAT JOB WAS HIS. AT THAT STAGE I HAD NO OTHER QOUTE AS I ONLY NEEDED ONE Since then I have engaged a very experienced carpenter in pergolas who can also fix inside house ceiling damage.
