Such a bad experience to collect glasses. Not once, happened twice!! Disappointed!!

The girls were lovely, however I wanted to try bifocal lens of which there are two varieties, one being original bifocal the other progressive which gradients the glass. It would of been good to try a demo of each before I made a decision but there were no demos of this in store. Also when I collected my glasses I was fitted but nobody noticed that they are bent and sitting on my face crooked. Now I've got to invest more time switching to original bifocals and getting my glasses straightened. I hope this feedback helps. Otherwise, the girls there were helpful.

Terrible experience! Appalling customer service from the floor staff to the Manager, except for the optometrist who was nice. I asked for a quote to fit new lenses into my old frames. The lady who was serving me took all the measurements, took my frames, and said that she would email me the quote the same day. I did not receive the quote that day, neither for the next three days and therefore I went to the store to enquire. I was given the quote and as it was expensive, I asked for my frames back. The personnel could not find my frames, they were looking everywhere for 20min or so and finally someone found out that they had been sent out for fitting already. How come??? How can they do that without me seeing and approving the quote??? Is it a new method to catch a customer??? I asked for the frames to be returned to me with my old lenses, I was very explicit that I do not wish the new lenses to be fitted, and I was told that my old frames would be ready for collection in a week's time. I went to collect my frames in a week's time, the Manager was serving me. She took the glasses out of the cupboard, and it appeared that that they had been fitted with the new lenses. I obviously did not want to pay for the new lenses as I did not approve the job, so she popped the lenses out of my frames and returned them to me with no lenses??? I asked for the old lenses, but they did not have them! The Manager said that it would take a week to return them to me. I did not want to go back to the shop again and asked for them to be posted to my home address. A week had passed, I did not receive the lenses, nor any communication from the store. So, I had to go back to the store again to see what was going on. Apparently, they are in post. While talking to the Manager about the whole experience, she was implying that it was all my fault because I left the frames in the first place and that I should know their procedures which say that if frames are left it means they are going to be fixed with lenses. Is this my responsibility to know BUPA's internal procedures??? I thought that the lady who was serving me should know that. Absolutely disgusted with the whole experience, I for sure will not be going back there.
