I was referred to Dr Simon Vun by my GP for an opinion and management for what would be an angioplasty of the femoral artery. Dr Vun fully explained worst- and best-case outcomes and the process in layman terms. He was both measured and detailed in his explanation. Consultations and hospital visits before and after the procedure were conducted by Dr Vun professionally in a reassuring, calm and gentle manner. The outcome was beyond my expectations. The day after release from hospital I completed an hour walk, and for the first time in 15 months felt no pain whatsoever to me it was remarkable! Excellent outcome from a stent applied in a blocked kidney artery. Blockage was damaging kidney and causing very high blood pressure (BP). After the 'stent' inserted the blood is flowing back to kidney, free of BP medication and BP below average for 7 weeks since operation. Dr Simon is conservative and clearly explains the procedure, risks and options without any pressure to proceed with an operation. Excellent 'bedside manner' and regularly followed my condition during my one day in hospital. Highly recommended.
