So disappointed by the poor service Ive received. I had some issues with my car at the end of last year so I took it in to Maughan Thiem in Mount Barker because I thought Id have the best chance of having my FORD fixed at a Ford dealership. I was told it was the purge valve circuit which would be a $1300 fix. I agreed to this. Not even a week after having it home it progressively got worse to the point where I couldnt even drive it. I managed to get it back to Maughan Thiem with the engine light flashing.. on the 19th of January. After taking weeks to re-diagnose and order the part, they quoted me $3400. I agreed to this and was told that it would be done numerous times before they were certain they were going to do it at the beginning of February. I told them that I really needed it back before a certain date because my child was having major brain surgery. I didnt hear anything from them after they had said they were going to do my car.. I consistently tried to follow up with them, each time being told that the person managing my car would get back to me. Every time he said he would call back he didnt and I was left trying to follow it up. It has now been over 3 months that theyve had my car and I have no idea what is going on with it. I keep getting told that its going up on the hoist, its getting done on this date and that date, its out in the yard, they dont have something they need for it, they have had other peoples cars there for longer, they need to do services instead to keep money coming in. I have been in hospital with my son for 7 weeks now without a car. I would never recommend this business to anyone. Im not just appalled by the time this is taking but the complete lack of communication and regard for their customers.
