I have a pre approval in place for almost a year so I can buy a house at auction and be assured I can settle in 30 days without any stress I bought a house 3 weeks ago and wanted 30 day settlement but I didnt have any faith in the bank so chose 60 days just for the contract but told the bank I intend to bring it forward I sold my house and buyer wanted 30 day settlement but I couldnt agree as I am still waiting to hear from my bank that the loan which is pre approved is approved. I explained that I have sold my house so they could let the assessment team know but I was told that information would confuse the process and slow it down even more It would be quicker to get a loan from a different bank from scratch and get a big cash back bonus which is what I will do if they dont get their act together quick sharp. The stress caused by this application is what I was trying to avoid by having a pre approval I tried going to other branches to take over the application but kept being referred back to where I know the problem is coming from and everyone is blaming the problem on a faceless department called the assessment team who nobody is allowed to contact not even the bank staff Credit to Cain in Noarlunga branch as the only person who seems to know what is going on but even he cant help get an answer I am now going into another weekend with no other answer other than its still with assessment team and its been escalated I was told it should have taken 3 to 5 days max but I am still waiting and all other parties involved are waiting for me to respond I will try the ANZ complaints department but what do they care?
