Doghouse Daycare and Grooming

Have had my dog groomed here a few times and have been very impressed each time. We provided the friendly staff with specific requests when grooming our dog and they made sure that all request were fulfilled. The staff were very welcoming and caring and made dropping off our anxious dog a breeze. Upon pick up, my dog was visibly very happy and excited, showing no signs that he was anxious whilst getting the groom. Very impressed with the groom itself, the staff maintained his hair length whilst clipping all mats and knots as requested. Thank you doghouse for grooming our beautiful boy perfectly we will be sure to book out dog back here. Thank you again!

Friendly and well trained staff here, they really care for your dog. My dog is full of energy, but often gets a bit of separation anxiety when I leave, and they do their best to make him feel comfortable and happy. Their groomers are also excellent at what they do, and can handle the fluffiest dogs with ease!

I have been taking my groodle to The Dog House (Keswick) for both daycare and grooming for over 12months. I am happy with the daycare. I am frustrated with the grooming charges. I have booked the works grooming about 4-5 times now and the price keeps increasing. I queried why I am always being charged more than the price shown on the website. Reasons given are..your dog was a bit excited at times or there was a bit of matting. I have come to the conclusion that they dont charge the base price and instead find reasons to add penalties to charge more. For my last visit, an extra $10 was charged for the matting and was told that took extra time to brush out around the collar, $5 for the dogs excitement. Hmmm..I do not understand how much time you would spend brushing out the odd matt if you are clipping the coat to a 2cm length. Are you spending time brushing out matted ends which would be cut out anyway!! Although my dogs groom looked great I feel that pricing method is unreasonable, especially as I asked for a quote beforehand and highlighted my concerns of the add on price penalties that appear to be happening. In future I will look for a different place to get my dog groomed. I would recommend improving your pricing so it is consistent and transparent. As a customer I leave feeling ripped off. I would not recommend the grooming due to lack of transparency in pricing.

I have an old pup who has problems walking. I take her here for her nails to be cut because she freaks out when I try to do it at home. They spent time with her and had no issues cutting them. She came out after having them clipped and was relaxed and not anxious like I've seen her before at other places. Highly recommend!

Staff are lovely and very helpful at pick up & drop off time, when trying to juggle a toddler & large dog.
