Booked an appointment here for paediatric bloods (2.5yo) after I was told on the phone they would be able to do them at this location. When I arrived the girl was nice but didnt really know what to do, an older lady came in and told her to assess his veins first. My son has had so many blood tests that I know it would be fine. She assessed his veins - all good but still needed to call help desk to check a test. The older lady came back and said better if we go to SA Path where he had the last blood test and basically pushed us out the door. I work in medical and I know its not hard to get a report sent for comparison from another company. Quite angry and disappointed

I booked an appointment (including the DOB of my 8month old) for Paediatric bloods, as this location is listed as providing this specialisation for babies from 3months of age. I arrived to a very reluctant attitude from the start about taking the blood. I was told if he was 12months older it would be fine. I understand this is a specialised area, but don't advertise paediatric bloods from 3months of age if you are unable to provide this service. I understand that an examination is required, but the reasons I was given for not proceeding where to do with his age, rather than his assessment. It was clear she did not feel confident to even attempt to take the blood. My complaint is that Clinpath need to update their speciality at this location to the age they are actually able to provide this service for to avoid wasting people's time.
