Solomons Flooring & Sultan's Blinds Findon

Got all new hybrid flooring in my house through these guys. The blokes that came out were super professional, worked hard, took great attention to detail and approached me to ask any questions to make sure that it was installed exactly how I wanted. They even got it all done in just one day! Couldn't have asked for better service. I guess my only gripe is that the new floor is less resistant to scratches than the previous laminate. That is on me for not doing quite enough research. Excellent customer experience!

Customer service was poor, workmanship was poor, no cleaning after job complete and left home in a mess, no pride in the job, carpet layer could not perform a basic carpet join, we had to employ a 3rd party installer to replace poor joins (3rd party installer perfectly repaired the poor joins in 1 hour). No responsibility taken for their poor quality and continual excuses for not being able to do a quality job. Over ordered more than a 6m roll which I can only assume we paid for. All things considered I would not recommend this company for any carpet laying.

Had flooring put in a little over a year ago, the before sales service was great along with selection and freedom to take samples home. The flooring itself looks great (though the beading does not match which was not mentioned to me at all) and was exactly what I wanted. The problem was with the installation. The installers did copious amounts of damage to skirting boards from scratching paint to half a dozen hammer dents. They left bits of glue on the floor and beading, pencil marks still on the flooring where they'd measured it and didn't even sweep up before leaving. Within a few minutes I saw the damage and they came back 10 minutes later, to which they said it wasn't them (some of the paint was only 2 weeks old and is in perfect condition everywhere there wasn't flooring installed...). They started saying they don't get paid enough for this, *2* of them came out to do my job, they're losing money, don't have enough money to live on and just being pushy in general. At that point I was half in tears and just wanted them to get out of my place. When others saw this damage they pushed me to follow up again to which the installers said they had done their job and to talk to the store. Of course the store said it wasn't them it was the installers job. The installers finally came back again, did a terrible job at patching a couple of the hammer dents and continued to deny the paint damage was them and suggested I pay a painter to fix it. All in all the floor is wonderful, the experience? Stressful and am still left with damage. If you find the same flooring at another shop - buy from there. Or whatever you do, don't let the installers leave without a thorough inspection, even if they tell you it's all ok - make them wait.

Incredible experience. Went through on a Saturday morning, Wayne was extremely helpful from the get-go, let me look around and take a few samples home, and even gave me a rough quote, of a very satisfying price, on the spot based on my home's floorplan. Simple! I was so excited that I went BACK on the same Saturday to lock it in! 2 weeks later my carpets had arrived in Adelaide and ready for install. Wayne pulled some strings and got my install booked on the ONE date I was available which was a lifesaver otherwise I'd be waiting over a month until work would give me the time off! The two guys who came to do the actual install were understanding over the small space (I live in a unit) and worked so efficiently to get the job done. They arrived earlier than expected, first thing in the morning, and finished the job including the insert in one of my built in robes within 2 hours. It was so fast. I didn't even get their names but it was unbelievable how quickly they worked. The carpets are absolutely fantastic. I will never forget the feeling I had walking on the fresh, plush carpets once he said they were completed. It was pure bliss. The quality is outstanding - got some Redbook carpets, highly recommend. Thank you so much Wayne and the team at Solomans Flooring Findon for making an extremely big job feel so easy from start to finish. Recommending to everyone, and to anyone reading this review - honestly just go for it.
