Modern Floors

We were very impressed with the service from all the staff. Anthony the floor installer did a brilliant job levelling the floor and installing the floating boards. On time, tidy, left everything clean and every informative. Highly recommend Modern Floors

Thank you to Modern Floors for helping us out. We had a new floor put down by Modern Floors 3 years ago and we had always intended to do the rest of the house, but we just couldnt quite afford the last two larger rooms back then. This has been a lesson to us because when we went back to them to initiate the next stage of the renovation, they told us that the manufacturer of laminate floor had stopped making the product. The team at modern Floors spent a great deal of time with us going through the showroom and trying to find a product that looked very similar which we managed to find. We were concerned because the level of the floor was going to be higher, but they found ways in which this could be done by their floor layer so that it all blended in really well. In the end, a floor layer turned up and did the job and the end result was absolutely spectacular. I would never ever use a large retailer because going to modern floors means that you will get personalised experience and its just so nice to have a company to go back to who will stand by their product. My experience with Modern Floors has been appalling. I went to them with a product in mind for our renovation. The Salesman told me it was a good product. I gave them my floor plans and had the staff member come out to do a check-measure. He booked in our installer who got a quarter of the floor down before we realised that the supplier had sent two different batches of flooring and they were completely different colours so he had to pull it up. They ordered more of the same batch and when the installer came back to install it, he got two thirds down when he realised that Modern Floors had not ordered enough of the flooring. The guy at Modern Floors tried to blame it on us, saying we must have changed our floor plan (we absolutely had not changed it and he had come out and measured the room!), but the installer told me that our salesman had not measured it correctly. So, half the floor has been down for a few weeks and half of it for four days. Yesterday I spent hours patching and filling tens of deep gouges and scratches in the new flooring. By the time I finished there were even more. When I sent photos of these and complained to the Modern Floors salesman he told me there was no fault with the product and it is our fault. So, our entire renovation is now behind by months due to their errors and we have a terrible, low-quality faulty floor. I've had no phone call from them to apologise or anything, just the bill. I am just so completely appalled by this whole experience and am upset that we have been left with a terrible floor. I would highly recommend avoiding this company at all costs.
