The Brickmakers Arms

Has come a long way after the renovation. Had an arty older crowd great bar selection and good menu. Traditional pub fare but also some more interesting items. Enjoyed the buttermilk popcorn chicken and the schnitzel. Others meals looked great too. Will definitely be back. Great to see such a lovely modern place.

Great redevelopment, although not finished yet, it's clear it will be fantastic when done. Great service, friendly staff and a great feel.

Awful, the waiters cant even keep the forks on the plates! Had the fish and chips, regretted it upon arrival, fish was blander than the cardboard sitting in my attic. Chips were produced for quantity over quality, heaps on the plate but it was hard to distinguish the taste of the fish from the chips. The only redeeming item on the plate was the lemon wedge! Others in my party found their dishes also lacklustre and bland, and wouldnt recommend it to anyone. Nice atmosphere overall, but if youre there for the food, you shouldnt be.
