One of the terrible experiences Ive had at maternity ward, if you are someone who choose private to have better care comparing to public hospital dont go to Ashford, youre loosing your money over nothing, they are just after money and you will get better quality of services at public hospitals like womens and children or flinders hospital. At the end if things are critical they are going to transfer you there any way .

Lovely staff and really helped in easing a stressful situation for myself when having to have a sudden operation. Your team are wonderful.

The Drs and surgeons were great and most of the nurses were wonderful as well! One nurse though, who I thankfully only had for one night was dreadful. She didnt put her name on the board but it was something like Sibar. She really couldnt be bothered and was rude. When requesting meds shed always ask when I had it last, Id just had surgery and was drifting in and out of sleep it seemed like too much effort for her to look it up. The other nurses were considerate and didnt turn the light on full blast to wake me for obs but not this delightful lady. To top it off when I asked for assistance to go to the loo for my first wee after the operation, she stood there and said You ring the bell to go to the toilet and cant even go! I replied its just taking some time. I have to say the meals were pretty awful as well. Also we had asked my husband to be notified when I came out of theatre, which didnt happen.

I took my wife to this hospital last night for an issue, and we were taken care of well. All the required checks and tests were done in a satisfactory way, and the doctor who visited her was professional and quite knowledgeable. The nurses were friendly as well and tried to be as supportive as possible. We were totally happy with the experience and left there pleased.
