Went to watch the Gridiron. Cafe had no hot food on offer. After the game we thought we would stick around and get something to eat. The function room had no tap beers, no EFTPOS as they had run out of receipts, no coffee cups and no customer service. Had to leave and go somewhere that knows how to run a business.

The only thing premium about this club is the price. What we experienced was a culture of old school punishment. Not development. Dont be fooled by the location and hype. From day one the coach told me to go for a walk during training and that the club doesnt like parents watching the kids train. When I questioned this he become abusive raising his voice to the point I had to reprimand him. We heard coaches yelling, screaming, intimidating and abusing U11 kids and younger. Favouritism and bias were rampant. I personally saw kids clearly distraught and upset. Nervous and on edge for fear of being abused and yelled at in front of their peers. My son hated going to training and began to hate soccer. When I questioned the coach, he told me that my son could develop while watching his team play from the bench and thats what he did. 33minutes out of 50minutes he sat him on the bench. A 10 year old child who whole heartedly listened and respected his coach. Really? Isn't that child abuse? Even other parents questioned the coaches actions. My son is a state gymnast and has competed successfully in state athletics competitions. He has a wardrobe full of medals and trophies. He is a truth athlete. Your son is not coach. Your ulterior motives were obvious coach. Complaints to those higher up fell on deaf ears. Many complaints were launched across several age groups. The clubs response to us parents was that we are expecting too much at this young age. NO! We are not. Just treat our children as human beings. And to think that we paid top dollar for this privileged abuse. I share my experiences today in the hope to save others anguish and stress. Choose a club and coach that values your children and their commitment to their sport and will help your children develop. This club didnt. Best wishes.
