Public Trustee

when I suffer poor staff in any business I do not first blame the staff. Instead my view is that the fish rots from the head. Yes the service is VERY slow - so do they not employ enough staff? As I have had to deal with them several times and staff sometimes sounded stress. Or worse were cold and callous. No I was NOT informed in a timely way re progress - it was always up to me to follow some weeks after a "promised date" had gone by with no update. Yes I have dealt with people who did not understand how to efficiently do their job - so do they not properly train the staff. Or do they train in a disjointed way where some lucky ones do get trained while others are not trained sufficiently. Yes I have dealt with well educated staff - I asked them - and yes they had finished a degree. But they could not spell. appeared stressed when I had to remind them that they still had not provided what they promised would be sent to me by a particular date. I never want to deal with them ever again. In a nut shell I think they honestly do not care about clients as the staff are constantly trying to do "catch up" as they try to get all the work they are trying to get done. Compassion, empathy and genuine care for their distressed clients seems to be overlooked. Thus I suspect the staff are under constant pressure and a total lack of empathy at the top - even if those at the top "show" a face of insincere false empathy. I never felt respected while i waited and waited and waited for them to settle the estates.

I will never take on clients for my business again if their payments are paid by the public trustee! This is very disappointing because these people clearly need the service's and get let down by those that are meant to safe guard and make their lives easier knowing they aren't scammed or have to worry about payments of bills. My client tried to take her own life because of the poor treatment and these guys didn't care or even attempt to help her. Instead her lonely gardener put in a report and got her some urgent help. Disgusted by the public trustee.
