From reading the reviews, it seems like there might be some newer and cleaner rooms, and some rooms that need more attention. Anyway, we must have got the latter. Annoyed we paid $687 for 2 nights during the AFL Gather round for what turned out to be a below average room in an overall reasonable hotel. Our first impressions of the hotel and room was that it was a fair hotel. However, when we settled, we realised that the carpet was disgusting. It had what looked like blood drops on it in one area, and a milky white substance in another area, along with multiple black marks throughout the room. Asked the hotel to send somebody up on multiple occasions to clean it. Was assured they would send somebody up when we were out, but this never eventuated for the whole weekend. By the time we got back, reception was unmanned, so we couldn't bring it to their attention again. Fortunately, we were out and about for most of the weekend, and didn't spend too much time in the room. It did however, get us looking closer at the state of the room, and behind the plantation shutters there were some pretty old cobwebs that were there long enough to have gathered dust on them. Did complain to what looked like the manager on the Monday morning when we were leaving, and mentioned to him about 3 times that the carpet, dust, etc., is such an easy fix. Pay for a company to come in and steam clean the carpet ($50) before they get to this disgusting state! (especially given that it's a pet friendly hotel). The cable TV also didn't work, and our TV in general played up. Again, spoke to staff on several occasions and was assured that it would be fixed. It took over 24 hours to fix it though, so we hardly got to use it. There was also a bad smell that came up from the shower intermittently. Luckily it didn't come into the bedroom. Bed and linen were nice though. Didn't use any hotel ammenities, so can't comment on anything else. Staff appeared pleasant, but didn't do anything about the disgusting carpet, or the TV, despited bringing it up on multiple occasions. If I had more time, and knew where the vacuum and cleaning stuff was, I would have cleaned the room myself, just so we could enjoy the room more. We're very tolerant on mishaps in hotels, but when things aren't right, put your hand up, own it, and then do something to rectify the problem! It's not hard.

(Translated by Google) Adabco Hotel is located in a very convenient position in relation to the city center so as to be able to move easily on foot. The rooms are comfortable and clean, as is the rest of the hotel which is well looked after. The staff is always kind and available to provide all the necessary information. Unfortunately, there is no lift in the hotel and it is therefore a bit inconvenient to carry large suitcases up the stairs. Arriving by car there is parking available on the street, but for a fee. There are no free parking spaces.
