I had 10 rooms booked for a big family celebration for my grandmothers 80th birthday weekend. Hotel did a great job of meeting everyones needs and added a few treats and surprises for our group. We had great interactions with all the staff. Loved the location and made the most of the pool and facilities. A few small things with confusions over some of the booking details at checkin but we worked those out quickly. Rooms were nice and well maintained, small issues with the temp control and this could be looked at. My one main feedback is I think the hotel group needs to invest in a more up to date group payment and account management system, their current process for group bookings is a little dated and clunky. It could be streamlined and more straightforward especially for such a large accomodation group with so many properties. Thanks again for the stay.

We stayed at Peppers with my immediate family and my parents in two separate rooms earlier this month. We paid for our stay upon check in. Unknowingly my father paid again for our room when we checked out and the hotel did not flag this payment as a double up. When we called to query this hotel staff merely said sorry and that the double payment would be refunded. No explanation as to why the error occurred or even a genuine apology was offered. Very disappointed and alarming that a hotel of this calibre would unknowingly (?) take two payments and not pick this up. Or perhaps this was picked up but no attempt was made to contact us to tell us this error had occurred. Please be wary when paying your account. Our stay was otherwise a pleasant one.

Food & drinks: Breakfast is terrible. Charged more if you dont book. But booking impossible as system doesnt work. 5 star hotel that charge extra for coffee at breakfast making it over $40 for dry, boring, tasteless breakfast. No room service food apart from 4 items of snack food. I had a toasted sandwich that turned up with pickled veg on the side thus soaking the dry, crusty panini in pickle juices. Far from 5 star. Noteworthy details: Front desk the most benign of any hotel Ive ever stayed. No interest in patrons. Services. Watched me struggle with luggage. No offer of taxi. Charged me over and above. Automatically added credit card fees when I paid by eftpos with no care given. Couldnt check me in or out quick enough and I asked a question on check in it was as if I asked what time the aliens would be arriving. The service, food and feeling unwelcome ruins such amazing rooms.
