My teenage daughter was diagnosed with a serious and rare eye infection in September 2022 and we were referred to Dr John Hogden , Lily Luong ( Clinic cal Optometrist) and his team at Eye Health Centre (Wynnum). We feel so blessed and thankful that Dr Hogden diagnosed her condition so quickly and treated her so promptly. In the critical stage of her infection Dr Hogden followed up with us out of his working hours - we never felt alone or unsupported in this journey . Dr Hogden is gentle, respectful and a true professional. We felt totally confident and reassured with the proposed treatment regime as Dr Hogden is an expert in his field . We are also so thankful for the excellent care and expertise given to us by Lily . We often needed to call between appointments to seek Lilys guidance and advice - she never once dismissed our concerns or made us feel like we were not being heard . The admin staff ( Samantha and team ) were always supportive and accomodating when we called or when we needed an appointment at a short notice . Although our journey is not over yet we will forever be grateful with that care and support we have received over the past few months from this very special team !

I found all staff at the Wynnum Eye Health Centre to be most helpful and welcoming. Upon my arrival at the practice, I was greeted by the friendly reception staff who quickly and efficiently dealt with the administration tasks. I was then examined by Optometrist Lilly who was most polite and thorough in her examination and testing. I was handed over to Ophthalmologist John who performed the requisite corrective surgery in a very short time, most professionally with a minimum of fuss and totally pain free. I can wholeheartedly recommend the Wynnum Eye Health Centre.

Surgery itself is good. But always have problems with their reception. 1. One of the ladies always have this condescending attitude; 2. You came in and waited for over 1 hr while the reception knew it from beginning that it gonna be this long and couldnt bother to tell you. And its the same lady from point 1.

A fantastic experience. Lily the optometrist was incredibly thorough with her exam as well as making the whole experience with all the scans and such easy. She made me feel comfortable during all the tests which was nice as I was really anxious. Then Dr John Hogden was amazing. He answered all my questions and made sure I understood everything. He made sure I felt at ease with everything before the exam finished. Its a beautiful practice and it has the best and most advanced equipment to ensure everything is catered for.
