Wow!..such a change being able to life my old lifestyle pain free. Dr Rodda and his team especially Natasha are phenominal. Caring, attentive and supportive. Had a TKR nine weeks ago and never looked back. SCUPH is a great partner for Sunshine Coast Orthopedic Group and deliver the attention and service expected. I have had Dr Rodda perform two knee replacements and a hip replacement . All of these surgeries went off without a hitch. I could not believe how pain free I was after these operations . This was my second hip replacement with Dr Rodda and his team and I have nothing but praise for them. Every aspect of the experience went well. My recovery was quick without complications or pain. I was only in hospital for 2 nights and I haven't used crutches since I left the ward. I would highly recommend them to any who needs this surgery.

I am a 69 year old male who had a right anterior hip replacement by Dr. Daevyd Rodda 6 weeks ago. While my hip pain was not acute, it did prevent me from walking over 300m without some level of discomfort. Prior to deciding on surgery, I had 4 weeks of Physiotherapy and an Exercise Physiologist with some minor improvement. I decided to have a hip replacement sooner than later as the X rays showed my condition was not going to improve and my quality of life was being affected. In choosing Dr. Daevyd Rodda, my research consisted of reading reviews, speaking to my GP, a theatre nurse and other people I know who had had a hip replacement and all of whom spoke highly of him and his Team. I also spoke to several Allied Health professionals who commented that while they hadnt had any professional dealings with Dr. Rodda, they noticed that his patients recovered more quickly, had less pain and experienced less post op problems. This was certainly the case with me and I could not be happier with the outcome. From the information provided at the Joint School by Tash and the Team to the pre and post op support, it was obvious that Dr Rodda runs a very capable and efficient surgical team whose goals are to help get you back to a normal life as quickly as possible. On the 4th day post surgery, I walked 2 klms with only minor discomfort. It wasnt my intention to walk that far, but I felt so good so just kept walking. Regarding pain, by day seven, I was not even on paracetamol. If it wasnt for the scar and occasional twinge when I change direction suddenly, I would not have believed I had a THR.
