5 years after getting my house built with Dwyer and im still finding mistakes!! They made us promises that they did not keep, told us what we wanted to hear to get our money! The whole process was a nightmare, trying to get their mistakes fixed was even more of a nightmare. They just kept sending tradies out that have absolutley no idea what they are doing! In the end it was quicker and easier to just hire our own tradies and get the jobs done rite the first time!! If i had my time over i would avoid DQH with all of my power. Please take my advice and find a different builder to build your home because DQH are the furthest thing from quality homes!! I would like to leave a review here that would hopefully help any future home builders! My partner and I reached out to around 10 builders with our dream plan drafted and Scott came back to us in a short amount of time with a fully drawn plan. He made our draft to life and he has been so understanding the whole time, we couldn't have been in better hands. He was responding at any time during the day, even after hours, just to answer my 1 million questions. He is very professional and you will feel so confident to build with him. I would like to thank Scott again for all the hard work he has done for us, and even if we did not go ahead with DQH (financial reasons only), I definitely recommend them in a heart beat!

Our house was completed in May 2021(7 months ago). We were open to building with several builders and the experience we had with some of them was interesting to say the least. One of our first stops was to a competitor starting with M. After spending roughly 5-10 minutes with the sales lady she suggested quite forcefully that it would a good idea to sign a contract with her then and there for $244,000. When I asked politely what I was getting for my money in terms of inclusions she evaded this line of questioning by explaining that all that would be decided at selections, where we get a free weekend away on the Gold Coast to go through the selections experience. This did not sound exciting to me - at all. She followed me up with a phone call a day or two later to let me know that the deal was about to expire and that I must sign now now now. I explained that the initial contract didn't even include overhead cupboards in the kitchen and that although the price appeared very good there was no way that a house we wanted to buy would come in at under $1000 a square meter and that I was wondering what else we were missing out on. I also suggested that high pressure sales tactics probably weren't a good strategy when it comes to purchases that are in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. I never heard from her again - funny that. The next builder we visited was super friendly but didn't listen and assumed for some reason that we didn't want to spend a cent over $200,000. He did up a rough plan that did not fit our brief and we left dismayed. It's a shame really because to my knowledge they're a really good builder - and he was a really friendly guy - but didn't listen - and made far too many assumptions. Next we met Scotty, what a guy. I explained what I wanted in a home and he delivered. He listened carefully and explained the options. I stated that I wanted an oversized alfresco area on one of their designs and he was only too happy to knock up a drawing then and there to give me to take home and show my wife. We visited him twice more and went into some more options in detail. We left understanding exactly what we were getting for our money. The experience was vastly different from the rest from start to finish as I had bought established homes before but never built so needed someone to help guide us through the process a bit, AND help design the house that we wanted to build that suited our block. Needless to say we signed with Scotty and DQH and are completely wrapped with our home. The team at DQH provided a seamless experience with John our supervisor, Maria at selections and Scotty from the start delivering very high quality service all the way through. John, our supervisor also listened to any concerns we had and fixed the only issue we had promptly. He went over and above in terms of his attention to detail and quite frankly he did little things for us that he probably didn't have to do. DQH live up to their name and I would build with them again in a heartbeat. You know what you're getting and what you are getting is quality. Thanks Scotty and the team at DQH. Andrew
