DO NOT GO HERE I met Shelley and she was absolutely beautiful and had a lot of experience behind her. Was so kind and went above and beyond staying open for my appointment after hours so I didnt have to leave work early. I was super excited and couldnt wait for a summer refresh as it had been over 8 months since I last had a hair cut let alone colour or extensions. Ive always been blonde/ sometimes platinum or with a brunette root stretch. I showed her shades of previous blondes I had been as I really hate being brassy/orange. I like the ash tones. One side of my hair foils is perfect and cannot fault the other side is stripey and patchy. She also added in dark brown extensions and I asked about it during the appointment and she told me to trust the process. Considering my appointment ended at 10pm and we were both tired from long days working I didnt say anything because I was in shock and really wanted to just go home. I was quoted $450 - full head colour - Full head extensions - Blended and styled I paid a $350 deposit at my consult After my appointment she charged an extra $298 When I asked it was for the toner and remaining $100 What I got - full head foils and yellow brassy blonde - Quarter head extensions (wrong colour, came out of a box) - Charged $198 for toner - Ratty ends - So far 15 hours of crying, leaving work early because Im so embarrassed, and having to find someone else to undo it all. - Can now not afford to have someone else fix it. Ive never been charged at any salon for toner $198. My extensions came out of a box unbrushed and when I asked if it was a full head (100g) she said yes. Although Ive had extensions since I was 18 and the thickness and weight isnt the same. Im honestly just disappointed and quite embarrassed. I feel lower than I did when I went in. I do think Shelly is a beautiful lady and knows a lot about hair. I just feel what I was after I didnt get and maybe my questioning about colours rubbed her up the wrong way, maybe just creative differences- I did give her full control on how to approach it. As I strongly believe in leaving it up to the professionals as shes trained and what makes her comfortable would bring the best result. Not sure if I should just chop out the random bits that dont blend, or try and bleach them myself. I think if you want a two tone or just one standard colour she would be fabulous. If youre a blonde avoid. Im just not happy with how my hair came out and if I had known that toner was $198 I would of just got a cut and gone to a sole extension person. I rang and said she would fix it the FOLLOWING week. I turned up and the salon was Shut. No apologises or call to let me know. I rang the obudsman/fair services. This is not an ethical salon. They said to try and come to a compromise outside of action. Leaving this here so no one else feels as bad as I do. My extensions have fallen out within 2/3 weeks. And I hate my hair. DO NOT GO HERE. I have just moved up to the Sunshine Coast from Victoria and I was a bit nervous about having to find a new hairdresser. When I walked into the salon Shelley inspired confidence in me by saying that she could easily match my colour and foils. I was thoroughly impressed by her skills and the result was very pleasing.
