Dont waste your time or money. Competitor is friendlier, more experienced and cheaper! At Obriens, the two guys sitting behind the counter were rude and patronising. Firstly, they couldn't find my booking and i was looked at as an inconvenience. They were unorganised and hadn't printed out the order from the call centre yet. I was then given a 50/50 chance of my chip cracking during repair, for which I would then need a new windscreen. So I needed to reprioritise the booking just in case they did crack it. I appreciated the honesty from the workshop staff. I didn't appreciate being patronised and spoken down to by the old guys sitting behind the counter. I needed to know the lead time of a new piece of glass for my car (knowing it would likely be a week at least) since they suggested they "order them the night before." I didn't want to be driving around with a crack in my field of view for a week. I've worked in both car yards and motor claims for years and when asked if I had rain sensors and ADAS, I confirmed yes rain sensors, no to ADAS and they sent the young repairer back out to my car to double check, because they "have to be sure" after I had given a confident answer. They confirmed I was right about the sensors and ADAS and the lead time being at least a week due to my car being less common. The body language and tone of voice from the men behind the counter was appalling. I'm used to dealing with middle aged men who don't believe a young female could possibly know anything about cars, but these guys really need a reality check and to learn some manners, or at least be more tactful in their communication with customers. After rescheduling the job for a more suitable time in case they cracked my windscreen during repair, I left. Moments later, I called the hotline to cancel the job and took my business elsewhere that charged far less for coming to my home to do the work. The man that did my repair had 30 years of experience and was really friendly. Perhaps O'Brien's can look at my other reviews and hire him to train their staff on how to do the repairs and treat customers with respect.
