Dr Prasad is a truly caring doctor. To those making complaints... he's a general practitioner. Keep that in mind. He's looked after my health for well over 12 years. If you need specialist care, ask him for a referral. Go to your appointments prepared. Make sure you have relevant and up to date information on your medication and referrals. Don't blame the medical practitioner.. they are under pressure due to this virus.

Response to Dr Prasad's reply under my original review 'Krystal Leigh'. To Dr Prasad and Receptionist, So after being so incredibly unprofessional you now have the audacity to downplay, lie and gaslight us about the situation? I think your centre warrants an investigation. Perhaps you refused to contact medicare because you are committing bulk billing fraud. Because the defensiveness and rudeness we received within your refusal to do so left my husband and I shocked and dumbfounded. Whether we booked online or not, and whether my husband was a new patient or not! Does not matter. What matters is the fact you denied someone medical care because you were too lazy to do what other medical centres do. And it is denial of care foremost, because you could have done what we asked, and bulk billed the appointment, you refused to do something you were able to do, perhaps we needed what money we had for something important, and even so, what if we didn't have that money? You didn't know our financial situation at the time. You simply flat out denied us. And let's be clear, why would anyone in their right mind pay you after being treated the way we were? If you can not go out of your way to look up a medicare number, and in fact lie in the first place that you couldn't do that (obviously expecting us not to know otherwise) should we expect you to make the effort to provide good medical care? Please keep in mind - we only refused to pay - AFTER - we were treated so poorly. Had we been treated with respect we would have happily paid for the appointment. This complaint is about the principle of the matter. Which is that you are a bulk billing service, most of your patients would not have the luxury of being able to pay upfront to receive medical care if they were denied because of your laziness! What happened is as I explained it. It was not as clean cut and polite as you are making out in your response! And the latter part of your statement was never stated. So not only are you lazy, rude, and dismissive, and willing to gaslight people, you are happy to lie to save face instead of taking responsibility for your actions and simply apologising! Honestly this speaks more about your practice than the incident we experienced.

It was easy to get an appointment at Dr Prasad and the receptionist is nice and friendly. If you are after medical certificate ONLY than this is the place for you. Doctor didnt even take time to look at the patient, which is my son. NOT child friendly either.

(EDIT at end: To respond to Dr Prasad's reply.) The receptionist and Dr Prasad both denied my husband medical care because they were too lazy to look up his medicare details. My husband had misplaced his medicare card and he urgently needed to see a local doctor due to recent high blood pressure problems caused by a stressful job (we had been to the hospital a few days prior). Dr Prasad was the only available doctor in the area for an afternoon appointment; and I knew from experience that medical centres can contact medicare via phone or an online medicare service to lookup a patients medicare number. This has happened to me in the past and has never been an issue. But instead of being assisted so my husband could receive the care he needed, the receptionist blankly stated "We don't do that here." I said that other medical centres have been able to look up my details when I have misplaced my card, or they call medicare and there has never been an issue. She then changed her excuse and said the lines would be too busy at this time for her to get through (you could tell she had just made this up). I insisted she contact them for us, she then told me to do it myself. A medical centre gets priority service when contacting medicare, the public often has to wait for extended periods of time; how she proposed we were to get the details in time I do not know. But from the moment she greeted us she was cold, indifferent, and apathetic, and it became obvious we weren't going to get the help we needed. I argued that we have never had this issue before. She continued to refuse to help and said we would have to pay upfront instead. At the same time she stated this Dr Prasad approached the front desk and said that it was our responsibility to have our medicare details and not theirs and if we wanted to see them we would have to pay. In other words, if you misplace your medicare card on the way to see this Doctor, or something happens to it that is out of your control, you will be denied medical care, in spite of the fact your details can be quickly retrieved online or by phone by medical staff. You will be spoken to rudely, denied help, and then audaciously asked to pay after being treated in such an inconsiderate way. All Australian citizens are eligible for bulk billing services where they are offered. It is what our taxes pay for. Luckily for my husband and I, we can afford to choose between bulk billing and non bulk billing. It is too bad if my husband had been an old age pensioner, or someone on a disability pension who urgently needed to see a bulk billing doctor but was denied because the staff were too lazy to look up the details. This is considered medical negligence. I think both Dr Prasad and the receptionist have absolutely no shame. Fancy having the audacity to treat new patients so inconsiderately and then expect them to then pay for your services. It is clear from the other negative reviews here as well as our own experience, that the Doctor here cares more about money than he does about the wellbeing of the people he treats. If you need a bulk billing doctor please do not go here, go where the medical staff and doctors will treat you as a human being. And always check the reviews beforehand, if I had done that it would have saved us the time we wasted, and the unnecessary stress that worsened my husbands blood pressure.
