Dr Richard Wagner

Attended Dr. Wagner's practice since the 1990s, always found him professional and informative. He's very much interested in nutritional supplements which I respected. Since living in Tasmania I haven't found a Doctor comparable to Dr. Richard.

I was going to Dr Wagner for a couple years through Uni. I had a hereditary thyroid condition which caused my thyroid to grow two large cysts that took up 80% of my windpipe, one was touching my spine and the top of my lung. Dr Wagner, after I asked multiple times, and had done several blood tests and ultrasounds, refused to send me to a specialist for a referral and surgery. My mother has the same condition, and at around the same age I was, had to have a thyroidectomy to remove her whole thyroid and cysts. Because of Dr Wagner, after seeking a second opinion, I was told that I would have died if I had continued to leave the cysts. I would never recommend anyone to go to him. Because of him, I could have died. He never wanted to do any further testing or refer me to a specialist. And until I went to another doctor and got a CT scan, I had no idea how life threatening my situation was. Within 9 days of changing doctors and having a CT scan, I had my surgery to remove both cysts and my thyroid.
