    I am never the type of person to leave a negative review, but I really want to help people who come into Australia not knowing about tax. Please never use this company for your return, not only did I experience the worst racism of my life, but they dont care about you and dont have your best interest at heart when doing your return. I am hoping that this is only the accountant I had and not all of them. But she was a terrible reflection of the company. If I had not educated myself and sought after additional help, I would have lost out on over $1000. I went with them as they promise the best return possible but I dont think they live up to that statement. When I brought up the mistake to the accountant she bullied and gaslit me on the phone and said it was my fault. I have never claimed to be an accountant so obviously went with her and trusted her to know better. I know first hand how hard international students and people in general work to have a place in Australia and I hope everyone gets their fair return back. I truly hope nobody goes through what I went through with H and R block Toowong. I have never felt so attacked and belittled in my life than the time I spoke on the phone with the accountant who I trusted to do my tax.

    I had my first appointment on the 24/08/22. This was my first tax return as a sole trader, so I didnt really know what I needed to provide. I sat down with the accountant for about 30 minutes and a list was provided to me on what I needed to provide. I felt positive leaving the office. Everything that was required was emailed to them by close of business that same day. It is now 5 weeks later, and I still do not have my return lodged. I called the office two days after emailing everything through just to confirm receipt as my email was not acknowledged which is fine. I spoke to the accountant assisting me and I politely asked approximately how long it will take as this was never mentioned in our appointment and neither was the cost when I come to think of it. The response was I havent even looked at it yet and thats all that was said. I said no worries, Ill leave it with you and reach out if you require any additional information. I sent a follow-up email on the 02/09/22 asking for an approximate timeframe. I was advised that some time had been put aside the following week to finalise. I followed up again on the 19/09/22 as I had not had any correspondence and more than 2 weeks had gone by. The response to my email was that they just needed to finalise the crypto. I thought that was a bit odd as I sent them a worksheet that clearly outlined my profit for the financial year, but they are the experts, so I trust they needed to do a bit more with it. Another week has passed (5 weeks in total) so I sent my third follow up email asking how they went with the crypto knowing well that nothing had progressed. Ive now been told that they are overbooked and attempting to clear backlog by the end of the week. Unfortunately, I have very little faith in this response because Ive been led to believe its not far away for weeks now so I have requested they cancel my return, and I will go elsewhere. All my emails have been polite and professional, and I have not pushed/demanded for anything. I have been extremely patient. I know that its a busy time of year but why overbook yourself when you cannot service the clients you have. I would also be more understanding if I had been regularly communicated with, but not once had I been contacted with an update. Ive always had to follow up each time and it just seems like I have been lied to each time. Extremely disappointing.
