Extremely knowledgeable, professional and approachable team. Worked with us on our design and incorporated any change we wanted along the way. We renovated whilst living in the house with a young family and the team were respectful and also worked with us where possible for minimal disturbance. They took all the planning and organising stress away from us and delivered a high quality finished product and would highly recommend! Services: Project management, Design

UPDATE 1 April 2022: Response to Owner Thank you for taking the time to provide your side of the story. I am not sure what you mean when you state that I omitted crucial details. When the review was written you still had not fixed the damage you had caused. I was never aware of your internal decisions to call Queensland Urban Utilities, but good job. However, putting that aside, if you spent one minute reading my review you would have noticed a theme, Soveregin Homes will not take ownership. Your response has only reinforced my original review. Statements such as, 'It was in QUU's hands', 'Staff being on annual leave', 'damaged by our skip bin contractor', does not help your image. I will give you QUU, that is fine, you damaged an underground pipe and that is their jurisdiction, hopefully they provided you with the bill. 'Staff being on annual leave' is just a little bit sad. Here is some context for those reading, Sovereign Homes damaged the lawn on 29 November 2021. It was finally fixed on 4 January 2022. If you had fixed it as soon as you damaged it, we really wouldn't be in this situation would we now? Thank you to John and Joe for coming back early from Christmas. I am sorry John and Joe that Sovereign Homes did not take responsibility sooner and you got punished for it. Unless John is the Director John, then good job on thanking yourself for coming back early to fix something you should have fixed earlier. 'Damaged by our skip bin contractor' does not help your case. You hired the skip bin contractor, you plastered your signs in front of the construction work, you provided us with a letter stating any issues that we were to contact you directly. Take responsibilty, it is your project, hire better contractors next time. The one thing you have taken responsibility for is that you are building a beautiful home next to us, but you are not the one to thank. Our neighbours are the ones to be thanked for deciding to invest in their property. So lets not act like you have out of the kindness of your heart added value to our street. I will be fair, my original review did not set out our expectations as clearly as I had hoped, so I will try again. Next time something like this happens, be the first to approach. Do not let the person affected chase you, it will only make matters worse. Apologise, we still have not received an apology, you had an opportunity to do it here and show your future customers your approach to dealing with conflict but you missed the mark. Finally, take responsibility and fix the problem you caused. Unfortunately based on your response my recommendation remains the same. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Original Review - Written Early January Sovereign Homes are working on our neighbours house and caused damage to our front lawn and a water pipe. We contacted Sovereign Homes to raise the issue with them and were told by John that he will be out to have a look. We never heard back from John. We recontacted the office and were told that we need to deal with another John but that he is not office, they took our number and we never heard back. We recontacted the office again, this time flagging our loss of patience and our disbelief at the level of unprofessional negligence being demonstrated by Sovereign Homes, this caused John to respond within the hour. John came out and realised that the damage to the front lawn was greater than first anticipated and that they had damaged a water pipe causing a leak. John contacted us and said that the damage will be fixed at the 'earliest possibility'. When asked what is the earliest possibility we were told within a week. It is still not fixed. Sovereign Homes has not taken ownership of their negligence and are behaving like it is not their issue. We are extremely disappointed that it has come to this point. My suggestion is not to use Sovereign Homes as they will likely cause damage and not take ownership of it.
