Dr Cohen had his assistant scan my wife's varicose veins - both legs. Dr Cohen told us many veins had defective valves and he would close the veins. I questioned how will the blood flow back up the legs and he said it will find another way. Well this sounds weird or at least magical. He said he will fix the vein problem and that would eliminate most of the ankle/foot swelling. We gave it some time, well at least until we fixed the infection in one of the cuts. Final result is more scans done (local pathology business) and she has veinous insufficency - too many veins removed. The swelling is still there, the pain and complications in the groin.
