Dr Alex Alexander, Obstetrician & Gynaecologist

Dr Alexander was recommended to me by a family member and I am so grateful for their recommendation. After having two successful c-sections with Dr Alexander and knowing how experienced and thorough he is, makes me want to have a third baby! If you want to be cared for by one of the best OBs in Brisbane then Dr Alexander is your guy! He is always there to listen and take calls from his patients. He also has a great reputation amongst the midwives at the Mater. Also, Janelle at reception is an absolute gem!

Choosing Dr Alex as my obstetrician was the best decision I could have made. I had the most incredible birth experience for both of my children under his care and could not have asked for more from him. Dr Alex will consider your input and preferences but will be direct when he needs to be to ensure the best outcome for you and your baby. He always remains calm and supportive with an amazing dry sense of humour. I fully trusted his knowledge and experience and would not hesitate to refer anyone to him.

After a rather stressful and scary emergency caesarian section during the delivery of our first child in Germany, we were looking for an Obstetrician that is reassuring, proactive and relaxed at the same time. Dr Alexander was recommended to us by our neighbours and he provided exactly that. The delivery of our second baby was such a great experience that we went back for a third. This time around we were so familiar with Dr. Alex that the pregnancy and delivery were just like a nice walk in the park. Thank you for everything! We would come back again but "all good things come in threes!"

I am forever grateful to Dr. Alex for delivering our baby girl. After losing my first baby at 25 weeks pregnant, I wanted an OB that was thorough and focussed. Dr. Alex was more than that. He was patient and caring during my anxious moments, answering my thousands of questions and putting my mind at ease. He was able to make me laugh when I was nervous about test results and genuinely cared that this baby was delivered safely. I had a complex pregnancy, and not once did Dr Alex make me feel uncomfortable. He took calls from the hospital in the middle of the night and handled situations with great care. Dr. Alex is THE best at getting things sorted quickly and professionally. He is the doctor you want to handle those difficult situations because he gets stuff done. I was the patient he had to interrupt others appointments for, or answer a phone call from the fetal specialist or leave someone due to my labour, and for that, I am so appreciative. I hope people realise that if it happens to you, there is a reason he has to answer a call, and he isn't being rude! I was induced, and labour was very quick. Dr Alexander came over immediately during my labour when there were complications, making sure I was ok, as was my partner and daughter. Without Dr Alex, I would not have my beautiful daughter that I waited so long for. There are really not enough thankyous are words to explain how wonderful Dr Alex is!
