Delicious oasis one block back from the Toonooba / Fitzroy River. Post industrial interior, hipster delight. Cool, sexy crowd chugging Espresso Martinis. Sensational food. Excellent wine by the glass. An antidote to 3000 kms of Chardonnay free travel in the beautiful Queensland outback. Staff warm, engaging and informed. Do yourself a favourvisit with these folk. Hooray for Rockie in the 21st Century

We really enjoyed dinner at this brewery/restaurant. It's really well renovated with a modern look and spacious feel and the staff were friendly and helpful. There is a bar area with its own bar menu and restaurant area which is what we chose with our 7 and 5 year old. We got a table against the wall and loved our food. We tried the Potato Gnocchi and Chilli Prawns for entre and shared the Red Emperor for main. The menu seems to change compared to what they have on their website. The kids had the chicken schnitzel and steak and then we had the strawberry cheesecake and a coconut panna cotta for dessert. The food was excellent and fair value for the quality. I also had a beer tasting paddle from the beers they brew in house. It was a little bit quiet for a Friday evening but it seems that area of Rockhampton was also pretty quiet. All in all a great dinner option and the bar area looked good for more casual dining and drinks. Would definitely come back if we return to Rockhampton. Kid-friendliness: They have kids menu options which are really generous servings. The steak and chicken schnitzel are large enough for most adults!

Whilst the food was great, service lacking coz they only had 2 staff on. It took a while to get a drink, and felt like you were chasing them all night for things. Another thing, I certainly didnt order my meal with a hair in it. It was very disappointing that they were very apologetic but, yet didnt offer anything of the bill. Thats not the service I would provided as an owner.

An impromptu get together with some work colleagues. Relaxed atmosphere, quick turnaround for drinks and meals. Reasonable prices and ample portions. Second visit, more to come.

Rather unfortunate dinner tonight. When I was seated I asked for a martini - they told me they didn't have those???? Asked for n espresso martini (which was listed on the menu). 10 mins later server tells me that they can't serve an espresso martini, I repeat my order for a regular martini and now they can do it. Entre was butter baked prawns in chili oil. Prawns still had grit in them. Chilli oil and butter were imperceptible and despite being a dry dish with imperceptible sauce it is mysteriously served with sourdough bread??? Duck confit for mains hadn't been plucked properly. For a nearly $50 dish I expect they should remove the feathers!!! Was overdone and average besides. Poached pear for dessert was the best dish, I suspect because it is so difficult to mess up! Even that was supposed to come with sorbet but instead they gave me a coulis. Wait staff were befuddled by basic drinks like martinis and old fashioned. Not interested in feedback and not the upmarket experience I have had before!
