I made an appointment for Jan 22 roughly 6 months prior with Dr Young. One week before the appointment date, I called to confirm if it is all good for us to see the doctor. I was told that unvaccinated patients can not see the doctor. The purpose of the appointment is to discuss the risk of getting vaccine with her autoimmune disease, perfect catch 22! The receptionist is also very rude. I had to re-schedule to May 22 with the hope Qld gov lifting the restrictions soon. Receptionist did call my wife in Apr and still advised that unvaccinated patients can not see the doctor even gov lifted restrictions for unvaccinated to go to cinema and sports stadium in Apr. It is appalling for doctors to refuse to see a patient after 6 months of waiting because of a useless vaccine. Anyone can see more vaccines bring more cases, more hospitalization and more death. Who is transmitting virus now in the hospital with all vaccinated health care workers and patients? Why the hospital emergency crisis? Are doctors more brainwashed than average people? AHPRA would like to see this malpractice? We need God's mercy.

Waiting 5 months for my appointment to be notified days before my appointment that they are not seeing unvaccinated patients. I had done some research and specifically wanted to see Dr Laurel Young. My concern with this practice is not that they have CHOSEN to follow a government legislation (which if they were concerned about transmittable diseases they would know that this vaccine does not prevent transmission... Unvaccinated people are theoretically more at risk of severe health outcomes... Non of the government legislation makes any sense)... But to be waiting months, suffering whilst I wait in hope for a diagnosis and effective treatment to be told days before my appointment I am unable to come is very poor practice. Especially when they have had their chosen policy in place for months . I also was informed by my GP they had received a letter from the practice essentially apologising for their lack of process and procedure .. where is my apology? Where is my letter? I am the one that has been affected. This practice is more concerned about their referral pathways then wellbeing of their potential patients whom they have been referred to treat. Drs take an oath to do no harm, this pandemic and possibly the vaccines have cooked their brains, power hungry, rude and incompetent, you are absolutely causing harm. You have caused me months of pain and very scary symptoms. I could have been seen by a better doctor in this time and started treatment and likely recovered had of you told me in December that you weren't going to see unvaccinated patients. Shame on you.
