The Bavarian Rockhampton

Great place, my go to place for an event in Rockhampton. Great service and large food portions. My favourite is the vege schnitzel tastes better than chicken!!

Travelled to the Bavarian in Rockhampton today for Mothers Day lunch. After an hour we received our two kids meals, after another hour we decided we were done waiting. Four other tables around us also did not receive their meals, and even when we loaded the kids into the car and asked for a refund they said it was being packed now and we could have it takeaway after another 5-10 minutes they just gave us a refund. Very disappointing Mothers Day. Updated review to 5 stars, we were invited back by the manager with a voucher, and not only was our food absolutely delicious but the service was fantastic and as it was my birthday I was given a birthday treat after dinner! I understand things can go wrong and am very grateful for the staff at Rockhampton Bavarian reaching out to us and giving us an amazing dining experience. We will return again.

I absolutely loved my meal of Crispy Pork Knuckle. Honestly one of the best feeds I've had in a long while. Everyone was impressed with their ribs and wings. The bones just slipped out clean! What was a shame was the service. To make it worse is the ridiculous "service fee" charged of 5%. Please remind me what the place is? A restaurant that serves???? The joke is that you either go to the counter or order through QR code. Oh and then another fee for using credit or even debit card!! Really this place lacks "service" and I should be given a discount because all they do is bring out your meal. Last time I looked that was standard practice for a restaurant. You really could include that 5% into the price of your menu and no one would blink an eye. We got one jug of water for the table for 5 people. No refills, no one checked on our satisfaction with the meal. A real shame as it wasn't a cheap evening out!!
