I don't really have a habit of writing reviews (I only do this when the party has either done an excellent job or the opposite). In this case, I would like to express my sincere thanks and appreciation to the team at Active Building Approvals for doing an excellent job. They have gone that extra mile to make the entire certification process as stress free as possible. I have been thinking of regularizing a structure behind my existing home into a granny flat for quite some time. I am so grateful to the Active Building Team for patiently guiding me throughout the process, and providing the certification in record time. I can't say enough good things about my entire experience with this amazing family run business from start to finish!!!! From the moment I emailed my enquiry Liz got straight back to me. She provided me with amazing and thorough information, help get me in contact with all other trades I required to get everything approved and all paper work needed. She gave me an amazing quote and made me feel immediately that I was in good and professional hands. Honestly this comapny is next level awesome

This is definitely one company I would highly recommend. They are very professional and go out of their way to assist you no matter how big or small the job is. I contacted this company to get a carport certified and have had nothing but dramas. They we're given all the information we had and thought they needed. We wanted to know exactly what was needed to get the approval done and the cost to have this approved. After paying a significant amount thinking this would be it they told us the council wanted more so their costs doubled but even then there was more costs Involved. We canned the idea as it would have been well over $10,000 and asked for the money to be refunded as they'd not done their job. The council fees are able to be refunded as the process hadn't been started. After a number of months and numerous emails and calls they finally refunded less than half the money but still haven't received an itemised account. Their communication is very poor in this instance. This has been going on since this time last year and it's still not resolved.
