The manager at Midas Northgate was fantastic. My wife ended up with a screw in the tread of our SUV. The team fitted us in that morning, got the puncture fixed right away, and the cost was a lot less than we expected. We have since had a lot of other mechanical work here and had several tyres fitted, and it has all been superbly done. All of the team, from the manager Chris down to the guy who backed our car out for us, were friendly, polite, and completely professional. Thanks!

Chris was great, I arrived back from holiday and found my car had a flat tyre. He helped me out by opening up to replace it. Service above and beyond during a public holiday.

Ask for quotes before authorising any work. Definitely do not trust urgency without seeing the part yourself. Booked in my 03 Prado for a service after discussing kms and age we agreed upon general items such as oils, filter and general checkover. Overall, service was friendly and straight forward. Unfortunately this is where the buck stops. My partner who is not mechanically inclined delivered the vehicle as I was at uni, on arrival she was told the vehicle was older than expected and would need a more intensive service. I then received a call about 2 hours later which I couldn't answer, my partner was contacted and asked to authorise, oils for diffs, transfer, gearbox (sealed unit from factory, not recommended to be serviced) that were made apparent to her to require urgent attention along with an AC fan belt that was cracking even though this was replaced when the AC system was overhauled under 5,000ks ago and rear pads and rotors. I was charged 1800 total with excessive markp (~$5-$10 on top of consumer retail) on parts that wasn't noticed until after I grew suspicious. Along with 7 hours labour when the car was only in the shop for 6.... On top of this the brake, coolant and power steering was overfilled causing brake fluid to leak over the engine bay. (Pictures below taken when the engine was cold after I noticed the brake fluid) Called the shop looking to gain some insight as to my invoice. Informed that labour is charged as a general charge per job rather than what is actually required to complete the work and that the markup is apart of their business model and that this is industry standard as such they wouldn't be willing to budge
