I have known John Elphinstone for quite few years now, he is a very caring and professional ENT, he explains all future treatments, great bed side manner, highly recommend he is a credit to the Medical Profession.

OMG, Dr John Elphinstone is the best Doctor/ENT Specialist I have ever seen . I've been suffering extremely painful tonsillitis for over 40 years. No doctor would help me until I went to see him. He was very professional, and knew what he was doing and suggested I get my tonsills removed, I nearly cried as they're exactly the words I wanted to hear. Within 5 weeks I was on the operating table. That was yesterday. I feel fine with a decent amount of soreness but have followed his orders and im happy I did as I feel I'm healing very fast. I didn't find his fee to be too expensive at all, as his knowledge, kindness, and professionalism made me feel completely at ease. Don't forget the amount of study, learning and hard work this gentleman had to accomplish, I think he's worth every cent and more, he deserves to be paid accordingly. I was scared as I'd heard reports for older people theres risks, I'm sure there is but with Dr Elphinstone nothing was a problem I'm 46 and he knew I'd be OK. Thank you Dr Elphinstone for giving me my life back, your amazing at what you do. Your my new hero. Danielle Flick....

I first saw Dr Elphinstone about 2 years ago. I had a problem in my throat. Dr Elphinstone had already looked at my scans and knew exactly what needed to be done to rectify the matter. He explained the procedure thoroughly but because the problem was close to my voicebox I decided I would not have the operation until I retired in 4 years time. My job relies on my voice and there was some risk of damage. I again saw Dr Elphinstone a few months ago because the problem was now worse and I no longer wanted to wait until retirement to get it fixed. All the time Dr Elphinstone was attentive, polite and at times humorous but he described every detail of the procedure, recovery and risks. The operation did not go to plan as it took much longer than anticipated due mainly to the size of the defect which showed up smaller in the scans. I was in hospital for a few days more and recovered faster and better than expected. Dr Elphinstone visited me twice daily during my stay in hospital and he responded quickly when the hospital nurses and intern had problems getting my feeding tube to work. All in all I found Dr Elphinstone to be a wonderful surgeon who is very confident in his abilities without being cocky. I was comfortable with him every step of the way. The operation was a complete success and I am recovering well 2 weeks following surgery.
