Had a hernia repair and very happy with the outcome. Highly recommend this surgeon. I got seen quickly and was operated two weeks later. The surgeon was affable and cheery I spent one night in Peninsula private well thats another story one star for themcharge nurse on the night shift was rather cantankerous. There was a chronic shortage of slipper bedpans that nightnot good for a private hospitalwell any hospital really, because when youve gotta go ,youve gotta go! (a pre existing condition)alternatively they could have just saved all the anguish by popping in a catheter. Most of Dr Hughs patients are seen in the day hospital anyway

I recently required surgery and was fortunate to be referred to Dr. McGregor. From the very beginning I felt confident that I was in very good hands. Dr. McGregor is a no-nonsense person who explained the procedure clearly and instilled in me a feeling of security. He is well supported by a team of skilled people including anaesthesiologists, theatre staff, clinical nurses and reception personnel who are both professional and attentive in nature. I have no hesitation in referring Dr. McGregor to anyone who requires surgery.

Dr Mcgregor is a great surgeon and has helped me greatly over the last 12 months. Great friendly staff and professional. Have recommended multiple family and friends as well and have all had excellent results.
