An amazing obstetrician for when I had my last two children great care during and after pregnancy and an excellent delivery experience I wish I had gone with her when I was pregnant with my first child. She was also a great support during my pregnancy losses which I will be forever grateful for

This Dr is an absolute angel! Was admitted to St Andrews Ipswich with an unknown excruciating left sided abdominal pain. After a couple of tests/scans the diagnosis was not certain. Thanks though Dr Sophia was on call. After conversation in ED with Sophia she had a good idea that it was an ovarian torsion...how good is she!...test results returned to prove her right, didn't muck around, straight in the next day for surgery. You can really tell that she loves and does her job because she really cares about your well being. Absolutely cannot recommend her highly enough. Could not find better care.

Dr Sophia Elmes delivered my two children. My first baby in 2017, & my second baby in 2020. After my first child, I decided I would return, if there were to be more children. My first baby resulted in an emergency cesarean,. Upon my initial visit, for my second pregnancy, Dr Sophia did not hesitate on supporting me with VBAC, which I achieved through her. She has a gentle bedside manner, with a holistic approach. She is friendly, genuine, & provides a high standard of care. I would highly recommend her to any woman, looking for an obstetrician in the area

I just remember her saying I had a normal appendix after a laparoscopy. When I told her I don't have one since it was removed three years prior she rang QML to confirm it. Just made me cautious - as I figured most doctors can locate organs and know anatomy. A lot of what exactly is wrong with me wasn't clearly explained either and even to this day I'm still not sure what is going on. Receptionist is lovely however.
