Professor Christopher Layton

I have had a very positive experience with my recent cataract surgery. Dr Layton is very professional and competent. My results are excellent and my vision in both eyes is extraordinary. Very grateful for such a positive outcome.

My optometrist referred me to Dr CHRIS LAYTON for a right eye problem (MACULAR) upon seeing Dr Chris this was only very minor compared to the other problems I had.. I had excessive pressures in both eyes which were very high and left untreated could have resulted in loss of eyesight ,which he lasered straight away and corrected the issue then with a number of tests I ended having lens replacement in both eyes which is quite normal for my age ,but the cataracts were not over the front of the eye lens but behind and he also found another issue which is not a problem at the moment but I know about it now.I have received the lens replacement to both eyes I can't believe my vision after 8 weeks my distance ,mid and close reading are near perfect no they are perfect, my only complaint is all these reading and script sunglasses I have at home which are useless to me as I have eyes like a 30 year old now. Doctor Chris I cant thank you enough for saving my vision and giving me my vision like a young man you are an amazing doctor and surgeon and I can't thank you and your staff for all your care that I have received . Excuse the pun but I will be seeing you around and many thanks Kerry Britnell.

Eye infection/eye irritation If you have eye infection I wouldn't recommend. Staff and Dr Layton were friendly and had good communication but the doctor had trouble treating my eyes.

I found Chris to be very pleasant . After spending $6k to have my eyes done, which now my eye sight is worse . I was told I would only need glasses for reading. Not true at all, I am now back wearing glasses for distance which now corrected my sight correctly , which should have happened after surgery . Very disappointed indeed . Total waste of $6k. Wish Id never bothered
