Dr. John Coates

Reception staff not helpful at all. Very poor customer service. Did not feel cared for at all. Not sure how I feel about attending my appointment and forking out the hundreds it will cost.

Refused to see my son who had a referral told me they dont look at rashes said go to Brisbane wouldn't even give me a name of someone to see. Said he wouldn't get in until next year sometime very rude and unprofessional I would question treatments they are issuing its obvious they do it for the money not for the care of the patients. Disgusting.

My elderly Mother saw this Dr by default last week as she is a patient of his Son and he has returned to his Brisbane Practice (where she usually Sees him) This man did Laser treatment on both her arms with no consultation, and no discussion. She was there to have her nose checked after treatment a few weeks ago and agreed to see him for this only. She was given 2x local injections then almost immediately was treated with the laser. She has had 4 bleeding large sores on her arm for a week now. She will not go back to this surgery again...She has an appointment now at the end of the week here in Brisbane with the young Dr Coates, who by the way is a lovely caring person unlike his Father.

I have been to Dr Coats for years on and off with skin cancers, I have just read the reviews posted to this sight and have noticed how terrible they seem. I have never had any trouble of any kind from any of his staff at the clinic, and the nurses are lovely. Dr Coats has always done a wonderful job, my scars are very minimal if you can see them at all. There may be a few people who don't like his manner or personality, but you need to remember he is there to do a job, not become your mate and let me tell you he is very good at his job.
