Bayside Obstetrics and Gynaecology

My wife and I recently had our first baby with Dr Macbeth. We had many consultations with both him and Dr Miller throughout pregnancy and honestly, we cannot speak highly enough of them. Every step of the way was explained perfectly and put our minds at ease. Our baby girl got here safely in the hands of Dr Macbeth who was incredible through labour. We cannot recommend Bayside Obstetrics highly enough, they are brilliant.

I cannot recommend Dr. Matt Macbeth and his staff highly enough. He is wonderful,compassionate and so caring. His staff is always happy to help in any way they can and nothing is ever to much trouble. I am looking forward to each appointment, just to see their friendly faces and of course to see how little bub is doing. You guys have made my pregnancy journey a fun, memorable and exciting time. I cannot thank you enough!!

I have been super impressed so far by the service of everyone at Bayside Obstetrics and Genecology. Matt is amazing !!! He understands everything you want and need and so do the rest of his staff and nothing is ever a bother. You are always greeted with a bright and happy smile and I really love every visit to the clinic. I would highly recommend Matt and the team for any expectant mother. He makes everything a joy :-)

We really loved Matt but to make a very long story short - when it came to THE MOST important time of any private obstetrics relationship with their patients, the birth, we were not just let down but ended up having an unnecessary c section and transferred to a public hospital. We had just been through the stressing ordeal of IVF and specifically paid a lot of money to get a PRIVATE DR to get SPECIALISED CARE - that just did not happen. We unfortunately ended up having his colleague, Dr Miller, on the critical day and I had a ONE MINUTE PHONE CONVERSATION WHILE IN LABOUR with her prior to all this taking place. At no stage did I feel like I was being supported and having my private doctor, that I paid for, fight for my rights while I was in labour and scared and not sure of what was happening. Even after the c section, dr miller did not even pop her head curtain side to say how it went or even goodbye. She left and I did not see or hear from another doctor until AFTER I was home and I called them myself. Not one doctor checked me either physically or via phone after my c section and I was left to be released ONE DAY after this major surgery. After undergoing IVF and paying for private health FOR YEARS to ensure this time we were taken care of privately, this was not just beyond upsetting. It was traumatising. My GP had suggested I go with alternatives but I wanted to be close to home so went with Bayside Obstetrics - it has taken me a while to write this review but now I write it to warn others of making the same mistake.
