I am a Canadian who travelled to Brisbane to see my family including my 20 month old grandson. I have been wearing hearing aids for 15 years or so. I was taught how to clean them nightly, store them in a dehumidifier and replace pieces as required. Unfortunately, I wasn't expecting any issues when I came to Brisbane .Unfortunately, my 'good ear" hearing aid started acting up. It would stop working, I cleaned it temporarily and would stop again. During a shopping trip, my daughter led me to Amplifon in Carindale mall where the employee heard my story and immediately looked after my hearing aids. Although the brand wasn't one of theirs, she still looked at options and explained to me what was going on with the bad one. She did find a piece that fit into my left ear just like it had come with the original hearing aid. She showed me a problem with the plastic battery ear holder that had a build up of ear wax and she cleaned it out for me and suggested to clean that piece with every battery change. Then she took the right hearing aid from me. There was no issue with that hearing aid. the receptionist just wanted to make sure I wouldn't have any problems for the rest of my trip. Upon finishing the work and directions, she provided me with some equipment to last me quite a while. I would like to take this opportunity of thanking that particular employee and the company Amplifon for their extra help and assistance in enabling me to hear during the remainder of my trip. If ever I was to live in Brisbane, I would definitely deal with this superior and professional company.
