Piano with a Smile

When I decided to try to learn to play the piano as an adult, I was lucky enough to find Alexandra willing to be my teacher. She is a kind and patient teacher and is always looking to try out different teaching techniques and various music styles to see what works best to get to the best results. I definitely recommend Alexandra if you are looking for a well qualified piano teacher that knows how to give her lessons a nice personal touch!

My daughter has been having lessons with Alex for a few years now and progressing wonderfully with her playing of the piano. My daughters recent grade 4 theory results were excellent and without doubt due to the professional and structured teaching by Alex. Alex is able to gear her teaching toward the learning style of my daughter. She is forgiving and encouraging and always shows such interest in her musical life and achievements.

Alex is wonderful! She is patient, and playful, and just the right amount of firm for my outgoing and aspiring pianist who can be challenging to reign in at times. We both love Alex' work. Alex gives encouragement without pressure, and makes lessons and practice fun with small games, duet-challenges and many creative ways to nudge a student. I was particularly impressed with her progress review report for my daughter's work, as it gave me even more confidence that my daughter is in the right hands to continue learning piano successfully and with a smile.
