Recently visited Caloundra with a couple from Victoria. Did the usual look around the shops however the day took a turn for the worst when my friend of 47 suffered a heart attack in the main street of Caloundra. Fortunately we administered CPR assisted by a brilliant community, until the ambulance arrived only minutes later. They immediately took over. Whilst his wife and I were extremely stressed, the paramedics were brilliant. He was administered the defib on several occasions. We thought we had lost him. He was conveyed to nearby hosp where he continued to receive the best possible treatment to aid his recovery. 6 days later he left hosp with a defib fitted in his chest. I cannot express enough the speed, the care, the compassion and the utmost professionalism of all concerned from paramedics to specialists to nursing staff at Caloundra. We will for ever be indebted to you all. I would also like to take the opportunity to thank the members of the public who were also brilliant at the scene. Again thank you. Mick West Redcliffe

The most PATHETIC AMBULANCE EVER no duty of care tried to make me wait in a public waiting room when no one there at all???? i have 9 fractured and prolapsed discs and wanted me to sit in a wheelchair - i only hope one day they experience this themselves - most ambos are greatz! But theres always ONE and the award fort LOOSER AMBO of the YEAR GOES TO the BIG FAT BALD IDIOT from caloundra working tuesday late night shift- MATE at the very least u need a MAJOR attitude adjustment!
