Shaye quoted me by phone $115 to Notarize a 2 page document. When she read it she understandably said she could not sign it with a certain sentence in it that put liability on her. I felt she came across a little rude and short when she told me. She did not offer any advice for simple replacement sentence that she would be comfortable with. I had to rush the change on my own on my computer in her office and mistakenly changed it to totally the opposite meaning that it should have been, as I am not legally educated, but she being a notary would have clearly and easily seen it was wrong because she read it before signing, but she did not say anything and the price changed from $115 to $128. She told me it was plus GST and plus printing two B&W pages. Days later I learnt I needed to change the sentence to make it correct so I emailed her to I asked if I could resign the same 2 page doc with the new updated sentence. She said that would be $60. I felt maybe $30 would be fair it just left a bad taste in my mouth. Also during the first visit I asked her how to get it Apostille certified and I felt she was very short and not helpful at all. She could have easily emailed me a standard link. I would not use her service again.
