Being a first home buyer, we had never been through the process of getting a home loan before. John gave us a complete rundown at the very start so we knew what to expect, and how the process would flow through to settlement. John was always there to answer the many questions we had at all times of day and night. Once we made an offer, John took care of everything for us and kept us up to date daily on how everything was going. He secured the right home loan which was best for our situation, and we are very happy with the result. Solace Lending and John's incredible support throughout the whole process took away the stress of buying property. We always felt confident, comfortable and in control.

After quitting my well-paid, full time job to take up casual work while I slowly build my own business, applying for a home loan was more tricky than what we have previously experienced. John was brilliant in securing our loan. He did all the legwork & spoke to the banks about our situation and narrowed it down to our best options - fully and thoroughly explaining all the pros/cons/hurdles. He regularly updated us on how the application was progressing and he was absolutely brilliant in communicating not just with us, but also on behalf of us with our bank, land seller, builder and conveyancing solicitor, every step of the way through the loan approval and for the 6 months the land registration and settlement took. We've used mortgage brokers before and honestly didn't feel they did anything that we couldn't have done ourselves, however John was clearly working 'for' us, not for the bank & he well and truly earned the fee that the bank paid him (at no cost to us). We have already recommended him to friends who have now also used his services & couldn't be happier.
